Videos about climate responsible agriculture

Watch three videos about climate responsible agriculture - biochar, no-till technology and controlled drainage.

Biochar application is considered one of the most promising technologies for carbon storage and reducing GHG emissions in agriculture, while improving soil fertility, attracting moisture and reducing the release of pollution from agriculture to waters.

Controlled drainage systems allow farmers to reduce unnecessary water losses and adapt to water scarcity, as well as reduce flood risks, and wetter soil generally reduces GHG emissions.

The no-till farming, or direct sowing, is a way of growing crops without affecting or moving the soil. This leaves the soil surface intact and naturally improves soil fertility, structure and resistance to diseases. The no-till method also reduces the amount of CO2 released by the soil and the soil can become a carbon reservoir.
