A report prepared by the Latvian Fund for Nature (LFN) on reducing emissions using biochar has been prepared.
The report examines LFN's experience with biochar and its application in three pilot territories - Z/S "Atvases", biological farms "Mazbungas" and "Avotiņi".
The report describes the impact of biochar incorporation on soil properties in the context of reducing GHG emissions, reducing emissions by increasing the content of organic matter in soils where biochar is incorporated, reducing emissions by increasing the total carbon content in soils where biochar is incorporated, microbiological activity and biochar, the impact of biochar incorporation on GHG emissions.
