In December 2019, the European Commission issued a Communication on the European Green Course, a strategy to transform the European Union into a climate-neutral, just and prosperous society with a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy. The European Green Course also covers agriculture and the farming methods used in this sector.
Direct sowing is one of the farming methods that allows farmers to work in a modern, innovative and climate-friendly way.
