For the third year, Latvian Fund for Nature has been implementing the LIFE CRAFT project, the aim of which is to introduce climate-friendly farming methods in Latvia. One of them is the incorporation of biochar into the soil.
Within the framework of the project, we are cooperating with three organic farms to test this method, which is not yet usual in Latvia and which both improves soil fertility and allows reducing greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture.
